Very enjoyable read; as someone who spent some of their youth in the area it made me feel like I'd missed out not supporting the local team. Given that this was the non-league period I'm not even sure I knew they existed! That said, I recall following that FA Cup run from afar and the book does a great job of making you a part of that period in Wanderers history, not so much with the players, but the cast of characters in the Roobarbs and their exploits.Product details

A great read! The author takes you on journey you would want to be part of, in so many ways. Witty, nostalgic, charming, heartbreaking and exciting. Rare to fund a book that ticks so many boxes. Highly recommended if you follow football, enjoy travel, love your friendships........and even if don't.

This was a refreshing and well written story. Author pulled you into the story immediately and you felt like part of the story as it unfolded. A great story about friendship, life and fun.
Loved this book. It really gives an excellent insight into British football culture, and into one man's trip of a lifetime.
